Wind & Rain = Poor Audio

Our visit to Edinburgh Manor on 3/18 was awesome, except the fact that the three days before and two days after were very pleasant. March 18, 2022 was cold, rainy/snowy, and extremely windy. I’m currently reviewing all our recordings, it’s frustrating when all I hear is wind blowing and the water dripping onto whatever it was, TINK TINK TINK TINK. Nevertheless, I’m still going to review everything but it’s taking longer than I’d like.

At some point, I want to stay for two nights in a row. I know my team probably won’t like that idea, they like the one and done but I’m usually ready to go. However, that gives us two nights of different weather conditions, I’d hope if it trained one night, the other should be good. I’d also like to investigate during the day, breakfast through dinner, when normal, everyday functions were happening.

I’m going to attempt to hook my recorder up to my laptop to see if I can get rid of the wind and rain noise but I’m a not exactly a wizz with computers or audio editing. Wish me luck! Moving forward not backward ,upward not forward, and always TWIRLING, TWIRLING, TWIRLING!!
