Same Difference

In less then a month I’ve witnessed all three shifts. I went to the graveyard mid November, last week I moved to second because of covid related issues and will be on second for a couple weeks. I know I can handle it but my body doesn’t understand, seeing and dealing with people at different times of the day is interesting. Going home at 6:30am is much different that going to work at the same time and it’s the same for 2:30pm. I bet it’s the same for spirits, there’s so many variables! Seasons, weather, moon position, if there’s water nearby, and the energy of the people doing the investigation.

My team has never provoked, we’re not going to make it worse for them or other investigators by doing stupid shit to stir them up. If they want to reveal themselves or speak to us, I want it to be because they want to. Some “investigators” run up into a location with the intention to be assholes. Some go in there with hidden agendas, others just do what they see on TV, no originality, no research, basically doing it because it’s cool at the time or they’re trying to become famous. These simpletons are usually weeded out when nothing happens immediately or something very bad happens and tears start falling.

My wife and I have investigated Edinburgh Manor by ourselves. Just the two of us in there, a couple times there were very strong thunderstorms. I never felt like I was in a Scooby-Doo cartoon more in my life. Those were the calmest nights ever, like nothing. No EVPs, no banging, not even a weird picture. I actually enjoyed those nights. Sure, I would love some thrilling evidence but after all the times we’ve been there, I can tell from the beginning what kind of night we’re going to have.
