Beyond the Blackened Hallway

Nyctophilia: (n.) Love of darkness or night. Finding relaxation or comfort in the darkness.

As children, many of us were scared of the dark. It’s plain to see, when your sight is taken away, anything the human brain can imagine becomes real. The thing is, there are things the human brain can’t comprehend that live in the dark, and they are very real. On March 18, 2022, my team and I will embark on our 8th overnight investigation of Edinburgh Manor. I have learned some things over the past 8 years of visiting this ominous building, and I hope we can use that knowledge to make the very most of our time inside this living structure.

Tonight, DAAM Paranormal will investigate Edinburgh Manor, in Scotch Grove, Iowa. This is our 8th overnight since we saw it in an episode of Ghost Adventures, Season 11. It’s also been featured on Destination Fear. As scary as those shows are for the regular, everyday folks, it’s not that bad. There have been some very seroius moments but also some eerily silent nights. That’s serious on its own, think about it, there was something around that everything just stopped making noise, silence in a building that’s old as shit, in the middle of Iowa, no bug sounds, nothing.

On this investigation, I am going to attempt to have something recording on every floor for the entire time. I’m bringing my laptop to Record a podcast in the basement or Room 200 or go live on social media. I know I get excited after the sun goes down so I tend to lose focus but I can feel it already. It’s going to be an active night. There is snow in the forcast and it’s going to be chilly, however, It is a full moon, all things in the midwest are out of wack, and world events are a little crazy right now. I’m not sure any of that has anything to do with the other side but I’m always thinking, trying to put stuff together.
