Beers on the Toilet

I just got home from working 12 hours, since a couple of my cats are sink drinkers, I turn the faucet on and crack a couple brewskis while sitting on the can. I don’t know why they do that, I suppose they’re wired that way, moving water entertains them, if I don’t do this ritual they will splash the water in the bowls all over the place. Ghosts, spirits and lost souls must be the same way, wired different. Their energy must be on empty, or infected or possibly tired of being jacked around by reincarnation.

Roll with me on this, if you had thirteenth existences, somehow you were able to tell when it was time to move to the next level but the next level didn’t mean better, would you try and find a way to break away because being stuck in between is the best solution? Maybe there’s a virus your soul can catch, rotting the the soul’s navigation. So when your body breaks down and dies your soul takes a wrong turn and is lost. When a car runs out of gas or the battery dies, the car doesn’t care, it’s the people inside that are in danger. Lost on a dark highway, with no cell service, no civilization for hundreds of miles, you’d have to take your best guess and hopefully find your way.

Sadly, some will not find their way home. Some are doomed to wander aimlessly through the spirit realm and when they find an abandoned building or a forest with other lost travelers, they call it home. Not because they want to but because they’re tired, they’re worn down and they have nowhere else to go. Ghost hunters often ask, “Why are you stuck here?”, maybe they’re not stuck, maybe, it’s the best case scenario for that lost soul who just wants to be left alone.
